The 6th International Symposium on Gasification and its Application (ISGA-6) will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, on October 25-28, 2018. ISGA will continue the process of successfully launched event series, started by the earlier ISGA conference held in Shanghai, China in 2008, Fukuoka, Japan in 2010, Vancouver, Canada in 2012, Vienna, Austria in 2014 andBusan, Korea in 2016.

The 6th International Symposium on Gasification and its Application (ISGA-6) will celebrate the 10th anniversary of ISGA-series events accomplishing successful and fruitful symposiums. The ISGA Awards will be assigned to the high cited paper in the previous symposium. The objective of these symposiums is to explore the role of gasification technology in the unforeseeable and constantly fluctuating present energy situation.

Gasification is a key technology in converting coal, biomass and wastes to useful high-value products efficiently and environment-friendly. Since current society has evolved to use gas and liquid forms of energy, the gasification technology continues to be an important option due to the conversion of low-grade feedstock to useful forms of gas or liquid fuels.

This 6th International Symposium on Gasification and its Application (ISGA-6) is aimed to promote and disseminate the knowledge concerning several topics and technologies related to gasification technological development and advancement. The main goal of ISGA-6 is to bring together researchers, engineers, scientists and experts in universities, companies, institutions, communities, agencies, associations, and societies to provide them with an exclusive platform for sharing worldwide ideas as well as the recent development on gasification. Meanwhile, the National Engineering Thermochemistry Symposium（NETS）will be held in conjunction with ISGA-6 at the same period.

This Symposium will be composed of fully interactive meeting sessions and a technical tour to plants in China. The Symposium will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, invited speakers, poster and oral presentations, and other sessions on various topics related to gasification technology like earlier conferences.
